The Bridge part company with first team manager

I’m sure you have all heard or read about Justin’s departure from The Bridge already, but I wanted to include something on the website as, I believe, the website is a more permanent record of events rather than X or WhatsApp. I like to think that the website builds our history and Justin should be recognised for his contribution to that history.

I make no apologies for the ‘red card’ picture. I think this epitomises Justin for me, committed, passionate and always wanting to win. I recall one conversation I had in the bar after we lost a cup game. I mentioned that at least it didn’t go to penalties, and all the drama and agony that brings, and Justin responded, “we could still have won if it did”. Exactly!

On a personal note, Justin was particularly helpful with my requests for information for the website and, believe me, that is really appreciated in my volunteer role where information isn’t always easy to find.

Anyone reading this will obviously know about football and how sometimes, no matter how much you put into it, plans don’t always work out how you want them to. We all love football but sometimes it doesn’t love us back!

The club and Justin’s statements are shown below and another chapter in Hullbridge history closes, and a new one begins. Best wishes for the future mate, whatever comes next, and whatever it is, I bet there will be some yellow and red cards!

I'll leave you with just one last pic.
Football passion...love it!
